Professor Daniel Obikwelu
Daniel Obikwelu had his PhD degree in Metallurgy. He obtained the M.S degree with a merit award from Wayne State University College of Engineering Detroit, Michigan as the best MS Met.Eng Graduate. He proceeded to Michigan State University on scholarship and American Navy Fellowship for a PhD program in Engineering and obtained the PhD degree, from the Michigan State University, College of Engineering E. Lansing. Michigan. U.S.A and was Elected into Sigma Xi Honour Research Society for his outstanding Research Potential and high grade point average. He was a Federal Government of Nigeria Scholar (1966-1970, 1976-1981). He has taught in various Institutions of higher learning in Nigeria and overseas. He was in the Shell Special Intensive (Graduate) Program (SITP) for almost 12 years where he taught Corrosion Engineering, Materials Engineering (Materials Science & Strength of Materials), Technical Report Writing, Presentation Skills and Workshop Practices and currently as a professor with the University of Nigeria.
