Professor Wumi Iledare, Chirota and Emmanuel Egbogah Distinguished Professor of Petroleum, Energy Economics Management and Strategy, is the Director of Emerald Energy Insititute, University of Port Harcourt, Nigera and Professor Emeritus in Petroleum Economics and Policy Research at the Center for Energy Studies, Louisiana State University, USA. Iledare, an expert in petroleum economics, geopolitics of oil and gas resources and supply, and upstream petroleum economics, management and strategy. Dr. Iledare is a consultant on international petroleum economics and policy issues to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and other agencies of the federal government in Nigeria. He has served as a consultant on a World bank project studying low carbon options for E&P operations. He has also served as honorary adviser on oil and gas matters to the Minister of National Planning, Senator Mohammed Daggash, 2007-2008 and honorary consultant to the Special Adviser on petroleum matters, Dr. Emmanuel Egbogah, 2008-2010. Iledare is a senior advisor and consultant on the Board of International Institute of Petroleum, Energy Law and Policy (IIPELP) in Abuja, having also served as a one-time Director of the U.S. Petroleum Technology Transfer Council (PTTC) for the U.S. Gulf Coast Region, 2010-2014.
